Steve's Nursery was started in 1955 by Steve Bellovics (1919-1995) of Hungarian heritage.He began his landscape company serving residential clients around the Quad City area.
In 1966 Steve and his family bought a 12 acre farm on the west side of Geneseo, IL. This allowed him to start growing nursery stock and develop a retail and wholesale operation.
Steve's son, Mike Bellovics, services as president of the company and also heads the concrete division (Construction Group LTD).
Steve's daughter, Anne Happel, started working for the company in 1982 as corporate secretary as well as retail associate.
In 1976 Tom Hudson started with the company, and now serves as vice-president in charge of design, as well as retail operation manager.
Steve's Nursery has had a long history of loyal customers throughout the Quad City metropolitan area, and looks forward to developing new clients be it large or small.
